B1

B2

B3

  •

An agile and very lightweight stick, consisting of a small wood wheel with a single felt layer.  Slightly larger than B1, and smaller than B3, at 27mm across. Matched bamboo handles finish this stick, using lightweight bamboo. B1 – B3 are very helpful in boomy Church acoustics.

  •

A very light, precise head, with a single layer of felt over a small wood wheel.  Just 24mm across. Lightweight bamboo handles to ensure balance.  B2 and B3 have similar construction but are slightly larger. Great for “Christmas Oratorio” etc.  B1– B3 are very helpful in boomy Church acoustics.

  •

For precision without weight, this stick is perfect.  It is 28mm across, with a small wood wheel centre and a single layer of felt, matched with lightweight bamboo handles.  This is the largest of three similarly constructed sticks, for soft, precise yet energetic playing,  e.g. Baroque and early Classical. B1 – B3 are very helpful in boomy Church acoustics.

B4

B5

B6

  •

A solid ball head measuring 30mm across, balanced with a light bamboo handle.  Ideal for Baroque and early Classical music, where aggressive playing is required. B4 is slightly smaller.  B6 and B7 are the same construction, with chamois coverings, for less contact noise on plastic heads.

  •

A solid wood ball head, 25mm across, with a lightweight bamboo handle for agile playing. Ideal for Baroque and early Classical music, where aggressive playing is required. B5 is slightly larger.  B6 and B7 are the same construction, with chamois coverings, for less contact noise on plastic heads.

  •

Perfect for achieving the sound of a wood stick when playing a plastic-headed drum, without the contact noise.  This stick has a solid wood ball centre, but with a single covering of fine chamois leather.  This also reduces the chance of marking the drum-head.  Ideal for Baroque and early Classical music, where aggressive playing is required. B7 is slightly larger.  B4 and B5 are the same construction, without chamois coverings. 27mm across.

B7

B8

B9

  •

A light yet hard stick, with low contact noise for precision playing.  This stick has a double layer of baize, covering a large cork wheel centre.  Ideal for Baroque and early Classical music, for aggressive playing.  Slightly lighter, and less hard than B3 – B7. 33.5mm across.

  •

Solid wood ball head, with a fine chamois covering, for use on plastic-headed drums where the sound of a wood stick is required.  The chamois reduces contact noise, and the risk of marking the head. Ideal for Baroque and early Classical music, where aggressive playing is required. B6 is slightly smaller.  B4 and B5 are the same construction, without chamois coverings. 32mm across.

  •

The small stick in the Legato range, with B10 and B11, for playing at a maximum of mf.  A light stick, with an extra-light core and a single soft felt covering, to give a warm, tone and no contact noise, even on very tight heads.  Ideal for quiet rolls and fast rhythms at low dynamic levels.  35mm across.

B10

B11

B12

  •

The largest member of the Legato range, (B10 and B9 are smaller), with a large extra-light ball core, and double layer of felt, measuring  44mm across. Slightly heavier, but with a warm tone for low-volume rolls and quick passages.  Maximum volume mf.

  •

The medium member of the Legato range, at 40mm, with an extra-light ball core, and a double felt covering.  Beautiful warm tone, ideal for rolls and fast rhythms below mf. B9 and B11 are also part of this range. 40mm across.

  •

Multi-percussion stick.  These have a wood ball centre, yarn-wrapped like a marimba or vibraphone mallet, with the perfectly balanced and finished handles of the rest of our timpani sticks range.  For passages where multiple instruments are required, pitched or unpitched, to enable the player to continue with the same high-quality sticks used for timpani. 27mm across. Ideal for “Soldier’s Tale” etc.
